Manny Pacquaio vs Ricky Hatton is planned on May 2 2009 in Las Vegas.

Earlier reports indicate that Pacquiao’s promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank Inc. has already met with Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaeffer, Hatton’s promoter, to discuss minor details of the 2009 fight.

The Pacquiao-Hatton fight is being planned on May 2 with Las Vegas as one of the venues being considered.

If Pacquiao takes on Hatton, the catch weight will be at junior welterweight (140 lbs), Hatton's domain. Pacquiao fought at 132 lbs last April, 135 in June and 147 earlier this month when he blasted Oscar de la Hoya.

Pacquiao is currently the world lightweight (135lb) champion, while Hatton is the reigning 140lb world champion.

Get your tickets right away because the Oscar De Layo was sold out 2 hours after it was made available to the public. This will be a Golden Boy and Top Rank promotions.

I found this video of Ricky Hatton's last fight on November 22, 2009.
Hatton will face Pacquaio on May 2, 2009.

Manny Pacquaio vs Oscar De La Hoya results of the " Dream Match"

Manny Pacquaio defeated Oscar De La hoya after eight rounds of pounding for a TKO. De la Hoyas corner decided to not continue in the 9th round because according to his corner Manny Pacquaio is simply too fast for De La hoya. Between rounds, referee Tony Weeks told De La Hoya, "If you keep taking punches, I'm stopping the fight."

Manny Pacquiao's speed prevailed over De La Hoyas size. The bout was one sided and De la Hoya was on the receiving end of an ass whopping. Lots of boxing critics under estimated Manny Pacqiao. If you look at my previous post below, UFC's Brandon Vera and Roger Huerta made a bet that the loser will wear a chicken suit on a Saturday night and on a busy street corner for an hour. Roger Huerta picked De La Hoya so he gets to wear the chicken suit. Hope the boxing critics who picked De La Hoya gets to do the same.

Blackberry Storm - a touch smartphone made its debut in the US on November 21 2008

The Blackberry Storm is suppose to be release a month earlier. Verizon started selling the BlackBerry Storm on November 21, 2008, a smartphone with a touch screen. Verizon sells it for $199.99 with a two-year contact and after a $50 mail-in rebate, Blackberry Phones are the mob-e-mail leaders and the Storm release is the most direct shot at the iPhone. Lines were around the block when it came out and the phones are expected to be sold out. But by December 15 or earlier, the company will be making sure that Storm will be available in shelves of retailers for the holiday shopping season.

Unlike the iPhone, the Storm features a touch screen that depresses slightly when pressed, giving users the feel of a soft click. The letters on the screen will also light up when pressed. It has a back botton which the iphone lacks. I like the Blackberry Storm because it will allow you to check your email inside the New York Subways. BlackBerry handsets also boast robust e-mail capabilities that have famously attracted users such as President-elect Barack Obama.

More features of the Blackberry storm:
CAMERA:The Storm has 3.2 megapixels vs 2 megapixels on iphone. The Storm has image stabilization, white balance, autofocus, variable zoom and flash. It captures videos.
BATTERY: 2 weeks in standby and up to about 5½ hours using Verizon's CDMA network or overseas on Vodafone's GSM network.

Nikon Coolpix S210- my camera pick- this is my current camera

The Coolpix S210 is Nikon's slimmest camera to date, so it slips easily into a shirt pocket and very lighweight. But this palm-sized camera also comes loaded with plenty of power and technology to help you capture stunning shots.

why i love it?
I love Nikon
8 megapixels and 3x zoom
you can buy it now for $ 129.99 (mine was $179.99 so its better to wait)
I like the camera because it is available in black. (Comes in 2 colors plum and black.)
It takes great pictures and videos and very user friendly. After unboxing the camera i didnt have to read the manuals to learn the features. I shoot lots of pictures and were able to use the features immediately.

This is the best feautures of S210
Nikon D lighting photo editing feature. When the background is so bright the persons face will be underexpose so u cant see the face it becomes dark due to the bright sun in the background. In the camera you just push a botton and u can brightin up the image so you can see the person.
I wish i had this camera in the begining of summer. i have lots of underexpose image from the beach and stadiums.

But if had know that the S550 (same apperance as the the S210)is available i would have bought it.
This is better because it has 10 megapixels and 5x zoom.
Blink alert. The camera alerts you that somebody blinks and so you can try taking the picture again.
Smile shutter - when you are focusing the person in the shot, it shots when person cracks smile.

I love this camera !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Blackberry Bold available on November 4 2008 at AT & T retail stores in the US and selected stores for $299

AT&T customers will be entering a bold new wireless world with the launch of the BlackBerry® Bold(TM), a breakthrough 3G BlackBerry® smartphone that operates on the nation's fastest 3G network and is the first to support HSDPA networks around the world, including in Japan and Korea. AT&T Inc and Research In Motion announced today Oct 22 2008 that the highly anticipated BlackBerry Bold smartphone will be available in the United States for as low as $299.99 on Tuesday, Nov. 4, in AT&T retail stores nationwide and select national retailers, as well as through AT&T's business-to-business sales team.

healthy ways to cook vegetables- lower your risk of a hearth attack

The researchers found that people who eat a diet high in fried foods, salty snacks, eggs and meat --- had a 35 percent greater risk of having a heart attack than people who consumed little or no fried foods or meat.

People who ate a "Prudent Diet" -- high in leafy green vegetables, other raw and cooked vegetables, and fruits -- had a 30 percent lower risk of heart attack than those who ate little or no fruit and veg, the study showed.

Cooked vegetables lose vitamins, minerals, colors and flavors if not cooked properly. Here are some fast and healthy ways to cook vegetables.

Steaming is fast, preserves nutrients, and it works best for fresh and frozen vegetables such as carrots, broccoli, spinach and roots like beets, parsnips, peas and beans. If you don't have a steaming basket, you can fill a pot with mixed vegetables and add about 1 1/2 inches of unsalted water and cover. Simmer until the vegetables are tender. Check often to make sure that the water doesn't evaporate. If it gets too low, just add a little more water. Don't forget to keep the remaining broth for soup or do what I do, pour it in a nice mug and enjoy the warm flavorful broth.

Roasting is quick, simple, and is an excellent way for cooking vegetables as it preserves the vitamins, flavors and minerals. In a large bowl, cover sliced vegetables with olive oil. Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper. Place them on a cookie sheet and roast them at 350 degrees until tender.

Stir- frying
Stir-frying is another very good flavor and color preserving cooking method. Sliced vegetables are put in frying pan covered at bottom with any liquid for cooking such as chicken broth or a broth made from stir-fry seasonings. Constantly stir the vegetables until they are crispy and glossy.

As most of the ways I described are based on waterless cooking as it reduces cooking time, makes cooking easy, easy clean of cooking ware and most of all no loss of nutrient in juices of vegetable giving more flavor to food.

Vegetables can also be cooked by the steam produced by their own vegetable juices. In a fry pan, add a little olive oil, sliced vegetables and your favorite seasonings. Cover the pan, put it on medium heat, and within 5-8 minutes you’ll have spicy and crispy vegetables. Stir often. Panning works best for carrots, beans, summer squash and shredded cabbage.

Roach said " We are not going to win by decision, we are going to knock out Oscar Dela Hoya".

Boxing writers are saying the odds are against Manny Pacquaio of knocking down Oscar Dela Hoya . However, famed Pacquiao trainer, Freddie Roach, firmly believes that the Filipino icon would knockout the bigger De La Hoya on their mega match on Dec. 6 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

“Without a doubt. We are not going to win by decision, we are going to knock this guy out. In history, guys that go up in weight classes and then come back down, get knocked out. Roy Jones Jr, Sugar Ray Leonard, guys like that. We will be a strong 147 pounds, and I love this fight,” a confident Roach said.

“Pound-for-pound, he’s the greatest right now. We should get Ricky Hatton next, and then if Floyd wants to come back, we can look at that because Floyd is the best fight for us,” he said. “Floyd is a great fighter, and has a whole different style than the other fighters. Manny’s best fighting weight is at 140 pounds, were going to 147 for Oscar because of the opportunity. A win over De La Hoya makes him a super star, and sets up the Ricky Hatton fight. A Mayweather fight would be at a catch weight. We like 140, he likes 147, so lets meet somewhere in the middle. Let’s see what happens.”

Juan Manuel Marquez vs Joel Casamayor September 13 2008 @ MGM Grand Garden Arena Las Vegas

The newly crowned Ring Magazine World Lightweight Champion, Juan Manuel Marquez TKO's former Ring Magazine World Lightweight Champion Joel Casamayor in the 11th round on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Juan Manuel Marquez, a three time world champion won his debut in lighweight against Joel Casamayor via knockout in the late 11th round. Marquez went on the attack in the final minute of the 11th, first flooring Casamayor with a right hand to the chin. Marquez was relentless after that, landing several big blows before a glassy-eyed Casamayor went down for good on consecutive right hands with about 7 seconds left.

Joel Casamayor a Barcelona Olympic gold medalist holds none of the major title belts, but has beaten both the late Corrales and Nate Campbell, who holds the other three 135-pound title belts.

Marquez (49-4-1, 36 KOs) moved up to lightweight in hopes of landing a third bout with Manny Pacquiao after going 0-1-1 against the Filipino pound-for-pound king. Marquez proved the extra five pounds didn't bother him in a comprehensive win over Casamayor (36-4-1), the 37-year-old Cuban champion who has unofficially ruled the division since beating Diego Corrales two years ago.

De la Hoya to pay $3M per pound if he fails to make weight at 147 pounds

The penalty for failing to meet the 147 welterweight weight limit wil be $3 million for every pound. This agreement is non beneficial to Manny because Oscar fight in this division. We should expect De La Hoya to met the weight limit of 147 during weigh-in because he is a professional regardless being a non title bout. Both fighters agreed to use 8 ounce gloves in the 12 round bout this coming December 6 2008 in MGM Grand Las Vegas.

De La Hoya, of Mexican heritage, was raised in East Los Angeles and won an Olympic gold medal for the United States. Pacquio, from the Philippines is the most exciting boxer and the current pound for pound king in boxing.

Manny Pacquaio vs Oscar De La Hoya bout on December 6 2008 @ MGM Grand Hotel Garden In Las Vegas

The Manny Pacquiao and Oscar De La hoya bout will be on December 2006. It will be held at the MGM Grand Hotel Garden in Las Vegas. The pay-per-view will be available on HBO.
Earlier Pacquiao's promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank had announced that negotiations for the much-anticipated fight will not happen because Schaefer and De La Hoya wanted a 70-30% split of receipts, which would include a projected 2-million-plus pay-per-view buys. Arum and Pacquiao called the deal was off. Finally ,De La Hoya agreed to drop his percentage of the take in a Pacquiao bout to a two-thirds/one-third arrangement.

De La Hoya, 35, years old (Six-division champion) with a record of 39-5 with 30 knockouts coming into the fight. Pacquiao, 29 years old (five divison champion)will come to the fight with a record of 47-3-2, with 35 knockouts.

Is this gonna break the previous pay per view record set by Oscar De La Hoya? The largest pay-per-view fight in boxing history was the 2007 match between De La Hoya and Floyd Mayweather Jr., won by the now-retired Mayweather. That drew 2.4 million buys. De La Hoya previously was involved in the largest non-heavyweight pay-per-view fight when he suffered his first loss, in 1999, against Felix Trinidad. Will just have to wait and see.

US Mens Basketball wins gold in 2008 Olympics in beijing

In the final day of the 2008 Olympics, the US mens basketball defeated Spain 118-107 to get the gold. It was a close game with the US leading only by 4 points with 2 and a half minutes to go. The final score became lopsided when the Americans hit a bunch of free throws after the Spanish became frustrated and were called for the technicals.
This was not an easy game for the US because the Americans had won their first seven games by 30 points. They beat Spain by 37 points earlier in the tournament. Their price is the gold which they had in 2000 Olympics. Throughout the tournament the US who invented basketball compiled perfect 8-0 record. Dwayne Wade led the team with 27 points and 4 steals. Kobe Bryant finished with 20 points, 6 assists and 3 rebounds. For Spain Rudy Fernandez scored 22 points and Pau Gasol scored 21 points.

Manny Pacquiao was the Philippine flag carrier during the opening ceremony in the 2008 beijing olympics.

I was very excited and very proud to see Manny Pacquaio as the flag bearer for the Philippines in the opening of the 2008 Beijing Olympics on 8-8-08. Pacquaio's appointment was approved by the Philippine Olympic Commitee and the Beijing Organizing Commitee. This is the first time that the Philippine flag bearer is not a participating athlete. Manny Pacquaio deserves the honor because he has brought honor to the Philippines in the sport of boxing. Miguel Molina stepped aside gallantly to give way to Manny as the Philippine flag bearer. Miguel Molina is considered to be the most outstanding male athlete in the last 2007 South East Asian Games in Thailand winning five gold medals in swimming.

Miguel Cotto vs Antonio Margarito July 26, 2008 @ MGM LAs Vegas result - Margarito is the new WBA welterweight champion.

Margarito upsets Cotto and is the new WBA welterweight champion. This was a good Top Card main event.

In this match I like Cotto (27yrs old) (32-0 26KO)because he knows how to use his jabs, attack the body and score points in bunches. Cotto has the edge in talent, technique and versatility. Margarito is the naturally bigger man with the sturdier chin and busier in the punches thrown area.
In this bout Cotto scored more jabs than Margarito but Margarito scored more in power punches. Margarito (30 yearls old)(36-5 26KO) came tonight to brawl which is the correct game plan to defeat a current champion. Throughout the bout, Margarito maintained the dominant position and keep Cotto back paddling and keept him in the ropes most of the time.
In Round 11 Margarito's punches hurt Cotto and caused him to kneel down for a knockdown. For the second time Cotto kneeedl down for a knock down due to Margaritos punches. Fight is stopped. KO for Margarito.

Whats next for the Welterweights (147pounders)?
Margarito(30 yearls old)(37-5 27KO) vs Oscar De la Hoya (35 yrs Old)(39-5 30KO).
This makes more sense than Manny Pacquaio(29 years old)(47-3 35KO) vs Oscar De la Hoya. I read Manny wants $30 million to fight Oscar. That way Manny can retire. I will surely miss Manny if he retire. Also Oscar has the advantage in size and reach.

After HBO(brodcaster) and Top Rank(promoter) get their share of the pay per view share, the boxers will get theirs depending on what’s stated in the contract.

The Manny Pacquiao vs. David Diaz title bout held at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada, drew close to 250,000 hits on pay-per-view. Each hit is worth $49.95 and with close to 250,000 hits sales would reach around $12.5 million.

Compared to the 400,000 hits or $20 million generated worldwide by Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao’s 12-round showdown with Juan Manuel Marquez on March 2008 for the WBC Super Featherweight title.

Manny Pacqiao's three classic fights with Erik Morales drew a combined sales of 1 million pay-per-view hits or $50 million.

"Lethal Combination " brings $3 million at the gate .

According to the Nevada State Athletic Commission, "Lethal Combination " Pacquiao vs David Diaz on June 28 2008 at Mandalay Bay drew 9,630 paid fans to the Mandalay Bay Event Center for gross ticket revenue of $3,350,730. 844 tickets were given away with a total value of $603,800. Bob Arum said that the attendance would have been much higher if gas prices werent so high. The previous Pacquiao fight vs Juan Marquez drew more audience to the gate. There would have been more people from California and other places driving to the event if gas at the pump werent so high.

Pacquiao’s next bout is slated on Nov. 15 at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas. Who will he be fighting is yet to be determined?

Manny Pacquiao is the present double WBC world champion at lightweight and super featherweight holder. Manny Pacquiao must announce by July 28 which title he has decided to keep. If he decides to give up the lightweight division title and keep the super featherweight title, Soto must fight Pacquiao for the WBC super featherweight world title.

MANNY PACQUAIO WITH THE BOSTON CELTICS in his locker room after the match with David Diaz. I did not know Manny Pacquaio is a Boston Celtics fan who idolize Kevin Garnett. Maybe its because of Freddie Roach his menter who is also from Boston. I heared David Diaz idolize Kobe Bryant. In Mandaley Bay which has a predominantly Filipino audience, the crowd was chanting for Manny Pacquiao as he won every single round.

Manny was showing excellent boxing skills by throwing all kinds of punches in his arsenal that is puzzling Diaz defense. Who should MANNY fight next?

Maybe Ricky Haton @140.

MANNY PACQUIAO's win over Marquez gave Pacquiao his eighth over a fighter of Mexican heritage since destroying Marco Antonio Barrera in 2003. A close loss in his first fight to Morales in 2005 and a controversial draw against Marquez the year prior barely served as speed bumps on the road to Pacquiao’s single-handedly terrorizing the red, white and green.

Insomnia is the second most common complaint after pain. A 1984 report of the National Institutes of Mental Health indicated that 35 percent of the general population suffers from insomnia.
And the prevalence increases with an increase in age. Our lifestyle alone provides us today many constraints for proper and adequate sleep.

Insomnia is the most common sleep disorder to date.

Medical practitioners believe that insomnia can be a symptom of various underlying conditions, such as depression and anxiety. Prevalent as this condition maybe, many adults do not seek treatment from a physician.

Research on insomnia suggests that it has impaired human quality of life, performance and mood. It has dealt fatigue, irritability, lack of energy, and poor concentration including impaired memory.

Pharmacist Jo Barnes made a recent review of all herbal medicine widely studied for its aid to sleep. Barnes is a lecturer in phytopharmacy at the Center for Pharmacognosy and Phytotherapy at the School of Pharmacy in the University of London.

In her report, published on in The Pharmaceutical Journal (2002), she observed that research has mainly focused on the effects of valerian (Valeriana officinalis), with minor studies on hops (Humulus lupulus), passionflower (Passiflora incarnata), lemon balm (Melissa officinalis), lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) and Jamaica dogwood (Piscidia erythrina) simply for their reputation as hyponotics.

Most of these herbs are also reputed to have sedative effect and have been used particularly for sleeping disorders of “nervous” types.

The parts of valerian used medicinally are the roots and rhizomes (underground stems). Strobiles (female flowers) are used in hops; herb (leafy aerial parts including flowers and fruits) in passionflower; leaves in lemon balm; flowers in lavender; and root or bark in Jamaican dogwood.

Thanks for putting a good show for your us boxing fans.
Im a big fan of Oscar de la Hoya, Bob Arum and Gary Shaw.

When i was in Cebu, Philippines. I am so fortunate to see in person, Manny Pacquao and Oscar de la Hoya. I saw Oscar De la hoya in Cebu when he putting a boxing promotion called the Battle of Cebu. That was the biggestboxing promotion in Cebu. The event was on a Saturday night and I can still remember the streets were empty , the bars were empty because most of the people were in attendance. I was having my lunch when i heared in the news that Oscar de la Hoya as depositing $500,000 for bond money in a Philipine Bank for the Battle of Cebu. That means the event is on.

In Cebu, I have an informal boxing camp. One of our members is a famous Philippine Champion. He fought in Russia and Austria. And beleive it or not Manny Pacquio was his undercard. Our camp are never afraid to go against the popular ALA gym in Cebu. Our team captain being the former champ use to beat up some people in ala gym in sparring. I hope next year we can organise and start kicking butt.

Thats my boxing memory. I want to go back to boxing by next year. Hopefully i will complete my job this year then i will go back to boxing. Of course not as a boxer but more on management.

If im lucky to have readers who is a knowlegable boxing manager please give me your advise and i will be forever grateful to you for life.

Once again. finally Manny Pacquiao is the WBC Superfeatherweight Champion of the world.

Manny Pacquiao dethrones Juan Manuel Marquez on MARCH 15, 2008 in LAS VEGAS.

From now on my favorate date is March 15.
Im changing my birthday to this day.

To get the belt he had to go through all this great Mexican legends.
In conquering Marquez, Pacquiao buttressed his reputation as the “Mexican Assassin,” having also mastered future Hall of Famers Erik Morales (twice in three bouts) and Marco Antonio Barrera (twice), as well as other topnotch Mexican fighters, like Oscar Larios, Hector Velasquez and Jorge Solis.

Offer for a part 3 by Golden Boy Promotions:
There, Richard Schaefer, CEO of Golden Boy Promotions that handles Marquez’s career, made a $6-million offer for a Pacquiao-Marquez III. But Bob Arum, president and CEO of Top Rank, refused to bite.

For a while, Filipinos in the crowd fell silent when it was announced that judge Jerry Roth had scored the fight, 115-112, for Marquez.

They saw hope when another judge, Duane Ford, gave the fight to Pacquiao, also by 115-112, and then erupted in celebration when the third judge, Tom Miller, delivered the clinching verdict, 114-113, for the Filipino ring icon.

Top Rank boss Bob Arum now promotes Pacquiao but was Marquez’s promoter for the first fight. He has been critical of Marquez’s management, saying the fighter received bad advice about holding out for more money, which prevented a rematch from being arranged sooner. Arum said Pacquiao should have been the winner last time. “I was amazed when Marquez got up and carried on and gave a really good account of himself for the rest of the fight,” Arum said. “I thought it was a tremendously gutty performance by Marquez. That being said, other than the fact that a judge made a mistake, Manny won that fight.”

New York City is one place you can spend a week in and find yourself wanting more. Here are some interesting things to do and see.

The least expensive way to get from the airport into NYC is using the SUper Shuttle. You should contact them and arrange pick up prior to leaving for New York:

Take advantage of the New York City official website : Click on visitors information. You can find virtually any and all info on what to do in New York City on that website.

The Subway System in New York can get you virtually anywhere you want to go. Review the routs online, and ask for a map at any manned subway booth - it is really easy to get around if you use the maps. There are many buses in New York City as well, but the buses can seem exceedingly slow. Bus maps are available online as well.

A Metro Card will allow you to use the buses and subways. There are many types of cards available, as well as an unlimited one day pass. Read about them here:

There are two companies in New York City that offer Hop On Hop Off Double Decker Bus tours. These are tours where you can get on and off the buses as various locations to take advantage of sightseeing in many area of New York City.

City Sights NY: Offers Downtown, Uptown & Night Tours.

Gray Line Bus Tours: Offers uptown, downtown, Brooklyn, night tours and combination tours. On to the many classic "must sees" of New York:

The Empire State Building: Take advantage of the Sky Ride, a breathtaking view of New York City as seen through a helicopter.

The Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island - Buy tickets online in advance to guarantee you will get in to visit the Statue. While tickets can be purchased at the Ferry itself, only a limited number of tickets are given out daily to visitors who want to access the inside of the Statue. If you purchase your tickets in advance, you will guarantee entrance to the Statue. Then take the ferry to Ellis Island for a tour of the place where millions of immigrants arrive in the U.S.

While you are on the website for tickets, you can also take a look at the Circle Line Ferry schedule for other areas - you can get a great "cruise" around Manhattan Island and see many interesting areas.

Take a look at Grand Central Station:

New York is home to many interesting museums - I can personally recommend many of the Art Museums as well as the Museum of Television and Radio, the Intrepid Museum and the Museum of Natural History:

No trip to New York is complete without visiting Times Square for tickets to a show! In the middle of Times Square is the famous TKTS booth, where you can purchase half price tickets for shows the day of the show. Read about the TKTS booth here:

If you don't see the shows you like available at the TKTS booth (many of the most popular shows aren't available at the Booth) on the day of the show, got o the theater box office - unsold tickets may be available.

If you know in advance what you'd like to see, go to to see if tickets are available in advance of arriving in New York:

Don't forget off Broadway Shows as well - great family shows are "Stomp" and "The Blue Man Group".

Take a tour of the South Street Seaport. Take a subway to the Bronx Zoo or Yankee Stadium or Shea Stadium for a game. Don't miss Chinatown or Little Italy. Visit Soho. Go to Central Park, you can spend days there., There is also a small zoo in Central Park, the Central Park Zoo. Take a horse and buddy ride through and around the park.

Many talk shows are taped in New York City with free tickets available. Most of them you do need to request well in advance of your arrival, however, many shows have stand by lines detailed on their websites with info on how to obtain them. Here is a partial list of show tapings - you can go online and see if tickets are available for many (please note - some shows, such as The People's Court, don't tape in the summer):

$500,00 from a car accident in New York. Personal Injury lawsuit - An IBM employee got $500,000 for a car accident

A personal injury occurs when a person has suffered some form of injury, either physical or psychological, as the result of an accident or medical malpractice.

The most common type of personal injury claims are road traffic accidents, accidents at work, tripping accidents, assault claims, accidents in the home, defective product accidents and holiday accidents. Indeed, there are a multitude of types of accident and the term personal injury also incorporates medical and dental accidents (which lead to numerous medical and dental negligence claims every year) and conditions which are often classified as industrial disease cases. Industrial disease type cases include asbestosis and mesothelioma, chest diseases (e.g. emphysema, pneumoconiosis, silicosis, chronic bronchitis, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and chronic obstructive airways disease), vibration white finger, occupational deafness, occupational stress, contact dermititus, and repetitive strain injury cases.

Where the accident was the fault of someone else, the injured party may be entitled to monetary compensation from the person whose negligent conduct caused the injury. At least in the United States this system is complex and controversial with critics calling for various forms of tort reform. Attorneys often represent clients on a "contigency basis," in which the attorney does not charge for services until the case is resolved.

• This case was in Los Angeles California . A woman recovered $500,000 as a total settlement after a car accident. As an employee at Staples Center with a stellar record, she was forced to miss about one year of work off and on over 4 years. Given that she was a wage earner, the insurer agreed to pay $500,000 to settle the case.

'how to find the best car accident and personal injury lawyer'

A personal injury lawyer is a lawyer who provides legal representation to those who claim to have been injured, physically or psychologically, as a result of the negligence or wrongdoing of another person, company, government agency, or other entity. Thus, personal injury lawyers tend to be especially knowledgeable and have more experience with regard to the area of law known as tort law, which includes civil wrongs and economic or non-economic damages to a person’s property, reputation, or rights.

They also handles work injuries, automobile and other accidents, defective products, medical mistakes, slip and fall accidents, and more.

How to find?
Referral Services

Most local bar associations have referral services in which the names of lawyers are available, arranged by legal specialty. There is a wide variation in the quality of lawyer referral services, however, even though they are supposed to be approved by the state bar association. Some lawyer referral services carefully screen attorneys and list only those attorneys with particular qualifications and a certain amount of past experience, while other services will list any attorney in good standing with the state bar who maintains liability insurance. Before you choose a lawyer referral service, ask what its qualifications are for including an attorney and how carefully lawyers are screened.

What you may not get from any lawyer referral service, however, is insight into the lawyer's philosophy -- for instance, whether the lawyer is willing to spend a few hours to be your legal coach or how aggressive the lawyer's personality is. Don't make a decision about a bar referral lawyer until you have met and interviewed him or her.

Check out law firms advertisement in the internet.

'Car accident and personal injury lawyer - get rich- find the best car accident and personal injury lawyer'

I was involved in a car accident last year of 2006 in New York City. It happened while I was on my vacation from work. My toyota was rear ended by a speeding car. The rear of my car was totally wreck. I was such in a bad shape physically and spiritually. I was so angry at the person who rear ended me, that I wanted to kill him for making my life in such a mess. First, I no longer have a car that gets me to work, I need to go to a physical therapist and all the paperwork that i have to furnish to the insurance company and my lawyer.
Thanks to a great lawyer from a law firm in lower Manhattan. I was able to get my car fix from Toyota and got $15,000 from my sufferings. My lawyers were able to get compensation for my injuries resulting from somebodies negligence. My lawyers only gets paid if the case is won or settled. These type of law firms also handles auto, bus, train, pedistrian, construction accidents, slips/trip/fall,lead paint poisoning, medical malpractice, defective products, wrongful death, general negligence, dental and nursing home negligence and etc. I have seen so many ads, im glad i didnt ignore them because those ads are for real. Result of the Roy Jones Jr. and Tito Trinidad bout @ Madison Suare Garden in 1/19/08 - Jones Jr. gets unanimous decision vs. Trinidad

Jones wins easy decision over Trinidad

Jones pranced and punched his way to a unanimous victory over Trinidad on Saturday night, dominating their 170-pound bout. From the opening minutes to the increasingly lopsided final rounds, Jones simply was too fast, even in a fight that was several years too late.

Jones and the 35-year-old Trinidad might have put on the year's best fight - if the year was still 2001, back when both were kings of the sport.
