Manny Pacquiao dethrones the current WBC lightweight champ David Diaz on June 28, 2008 in LAS VEGAS.

Manny Pacquiao has beaten David Diaz by a KO in the 9th round to win the WBC lightweight crown. Manny beat Diaz in every single round.
In Mandaley Bay which has a predominantly Filipino audience, the crowd was chanting for Manny Pacquiao as he won every single round.
The bout was a complete demoliton of the WBC champion David Diaz courtesy of Manny Pacquaio. Manny was showing excellent boxing skills by throwing all kinds of punches in his arsenal that is puzzling Diaz defense. The fight was one sided and it doesnt seem like a bout but more of a boxing demonstration.

Who should MANNY fight next?

Maybe Ricky Haton @140.

MANNY PACQUIAO's win over Marquez gave Pacquiao his eighth over a fighter of Mexican heritage since destroying Marco Antonio Barrera in 2003. A close loss in his first fight to Morales in 2005 and a controversial draw against Marquez the year prior barely served as speed bumps on the road to Pacquiao’s single-handedly terrorizing the red, white and green.
