
Despite being removed from the sandwich chain's website, Subway will not drop its endorsement deal with the Olympic gold medalist because of his controversial pot photos. Kellogg's, however, dropped the swimmer because his behavior is "not consistent with the image of Kellogg." The cereal company will not renew his contract, which expires at the end of February.
"Like most Americans, and like Michael Phelps himself, we were disappointed in his behavior," Megan Driscoll, the rep for Subway ."Also like most Americans, we accept his apology. Moving forward, he remains in our plans."
Most of the swimmer's sponsors have said they're sticking by Phelps, including Visa, Speedo, luxury Swiss watchmaker Omega and athletic drink PureSports.
